TechAssist was founded by Matt with a simple premise: Australian SMEs deserve enterprise-grade IT support without the enterprise price tag or the corporate runaround. After years of watching small businesses get underserved by big MSPs or overcharged by break-fix operators, Matt built TechAssist to be the IT partner he’d want for his own business.

Today, TechAssist serves businesses with 5 to 150 employees across blue-collar trades, legal, manufacturing, mining, and professional services — providing managed IT, cybersecurity, and strategic technology guidance that actually makes a difference.

Matt is the founder and Director of TechAssist. With over 15 years in systems administration and Windows server support, plus CCNA and MCITP certifications, he's built his career helping businesses get more from their technology without the headaches.Matt started TechAssist because he saw too many small and mid-sized businesses — tradies, builders, manufacturers — getting left behind by IT providers who didn't understand their world. Mitch is TechAssist's Service Manager, bringing deep expertise across IT consulting, software engineering, and network infrastructure. He holds a Diploma of Information Technology and is MikroTik MTCNA certified, with deep expertise in designing and deploying solutions that work in the real world — not just on paper. Before joining TechAssist, Sam built his career across some of Australia's most demanding IT environments, from managing large-scale systems at Beonic to leading infrastructure projects at URL Networks. He's the kind of engineer who understands both the big picture and the fine detail, and he brings that balance to every project he touches. Technical Specialist

Nick is a Technical Specialist at TechAssist with broad experience managing complex IT environments across the Victorian government education sector. He brings a hands-on approach to Level 1 and Level 2 support, with additional expertise in CCTV systems, project management, and multi-site network administration. Nick studied IT at RMIT and has built his skills across a range of technical disciplines. What sets Nick apart is the sheer breadth of what he can handle. From day-to-day helpdesk support to coordinating infrastructure projects across multiple school campuses, he's comfortable working at every level of the stack. Before joining TechAssist, he worked as a Roaming Specialist Technician with the Department of Education's eduSTAR NEVR program across metropolitan Melbourne — supporting schools with everything from network troubleshooting to end-user device management at scale. With qualifications from Charles Sturt University and a background built in fast-paced, multi-site government environments, Mithun understands what it takes to keep technology running when downtime isn't an option. He brings that same urgency and reliability to every client engagement at TechAssist.
